The 1950’s and 1960’s brought ‘modern’ furniture into  homes
and G Plan came into vogue. Many of the ultra stylish
chest of-
drawers and dressing tables reflect

furniture manufacturing at the time.
Painted finishes bring the furniture to life. I’ve
left some of the natural wood as a contrast.

The Lloyd Loom cabinet is another favourite. Made
from paper, the process was invented by an American
and adapted by a London furniture manufacturer
W. Lusty and Sons in 1922.
